My goals for C.A.S during my Senior year
I've spent a lot of time reflecting on the year past and thinking about things id like to achieve during my senior year. This year id really like to up my game in terms of C.A.S and really get involved in a variety of new and different things.
Regarding the creative side, id love to use it as an opportunity to do some photography work. I'm super passionate about photography and plan to make a future out of it and in order to do so i really need to start pushing myself to get involved with the photographic community. I think a good idea would be to take part in some classes or join a club that will regularly challenge my skills. Another big plan for creativity this year will be a trip to a young artists conference in India which will be towards the end of September. Every two years S.A.I.S.A (South Asian Inter-Scholastic Association) hosts a 4 day conference for selected young artists from a range of schools in south Asia. Fortunately, I'm lucky enough to have been one of the few student chosen from the OSC to take part in the 2014 conference. This will be a wonderful opportunity for me to learn a heap of new skills and meet other artists my age from other cultures.
For action im going to immerse myself in the many sporting opportunities the school has to offer. I am planning on signing up for both the swim squad and the basketball team this year which between the two should most definitely get me active.
Service i think will be my biggest challenge. I'm still unsure as to which service group will participate in this year. I am unsure as to whether I want to do something environmental or something more people orientated. Hopefully talking to my peers and finding out about their experiences with their service groups will inspire me soon
