Basketbal Game against the Navy Team

This was probably one of the toughest games I have played. Our coach organised for 4 national players from the navy to come and play against us. These 4 women were incredibly gifted and whilst were painful to play against, were an absolute privilege to see play. They didn’t back down the whole game and took the win with a final score of 79 to 45. Whilst we got beaten by a lot, to have scored 45 points against them is definitely something to be proud of. From this game what really stood out was our need to gel as a team. There was no chance of us ever winning that game, but there was a chance for us to see how we played together against tough competition. And I don’t think we did very well. We got our heads down and adopted a real negative mind set which just added to our already high level of competition. I really think this is something our team needs to work on, and as an aspiring team captain something that is central to my role in the team.
